On our recent trip to Texas, we drove through Cuervo, New Mexico. It is a small town close to Route 66 that was abandoned in the 1940's when Interstate 40 was built and literally divided it in half. You can read more about Cuervo here.
I had a small heart attack when we were driving through this little town. It only took 30 minutes and 4 back-tracks to figure out how exactly to get to it. Here are a few photos I was able to snap in our too-brief stop in Cuervo.
