On our recent trip to Texas, we drove through Cuervo, New Mexico. It is a small town close to Route 66 that was abandoned in the 1940's when Interstate 40 was built and literally divided it in half. You can read more about Cuervo here.
I had a small heart attack when we were driving through this little town. It only took 30 minutes and 4 back-tracks to figure out how exactly to get to it. Here are a few photos I was able to snap in our too-brief stop in Cuervo.

Hostel
0
On our way down to Texas, Ryan and I thought it would be a fantastic and adventurous idea to stay at a hostel one night. Wrong. After a whole day of shooting a wedding, we drove to Moab, and arrived at 3am. The hostel we chose to stay at was also hidden and hard to find so we got lost a few times. Once we finally found it and our room, we discovered that there was no air conditioner and a rock hard mattress. I definitely wasn't expecting luxury, but I was hoping to sleep a little. Haha.. never ever again!
